ABOUT THE BAND
Hitchhike The Dawn is the brainchild of Irish singer-songwriter Andy Burke and American Guitarist / Bassist Tim Hingston.
The combination of Andy's gravelly Lanegan-esque vocals with Tim's sonic landscapes began to take shape in 2021 when the 2 decided to join forces to write, record and perform an all-original set, not to mention share the occasional Byron Bay wave.
Their sound is a soulful combination of grassroots folk rock, surfy desert psychedelia, and melodic harmonies. Their sets are dynamic, ranging from foot-tapping grooves and big sweaty jams to smiling pop tunes and smokey folk songs. Listeners are guaranteed to find themselves at home in the audience as they follow the journey before them along with this passionate crew that is Hitchhike the Dawn.
